Week-end in Brussels

Publié par MEYER Alexandre

On 22nd February, we went to Brussels for the week-end. There were six of us : Paul, Julien, Raphael, Segolène, Laetitia and me. Raphael's brother has lived in brussels for many years so we had an accommodation there.

We arrived at 10 a.m. in Brussels, and we directly went to the city center. Raphael's brother doesn't live in the city center, it took us an hour to walk to his an hour to wall to his flat. We started to eat in a typical restaurant.

After a good lunch, we visited the city peacefully. We saw a lot of restaurants and many beers stores. Also, we saw the Great Place of Brussels, or the « Grote Markt », in the historic center. The square is encircled by many beautiful buildings. The architecture and the gold on the frontage are very beautiful too.

Moreover, we saw the Manneken Pis, which is the greatest symbol of the country. This is a very small statue of 61 centimenters. The Manneken Pis represents the independance of Belgium, in their behaviour such as their mind.
